GAMDIAS has done rather well when it comes to the packaging of the unit. The unit itself is sealed in plastic and remains snug between two large pieces of shipping foam. The large mass of cables is kept tidy in a Velcro bag. The bottom layer of foam helps to secure the cables in place, while the top layer of foam only supports the PSU itself. The marketing on the outside of the box is eye catching and provides adequate information. It's definitely catered to a gaming market, but that aligns with the mission of the company.
Upon opening the box, the first thing we noticed was the lack of a manual. Upon careful inspection of the box we found that a QR code is provided for the user to be able to download a manual. It's not a big deal, but sometimes less legwork is better. Moving past that, in the box we have the cable bag which contains all of the cables along with zip ties for cable management. On the opposite side of the box the power supply is snug inside the protective foam. There are less extra goodies included with this unit than some of the major brands, but that is perfectly fine as long as the unit delivers on its promises.
As a side note, after further review of the manual and the GAMDIAS website, it would seem the box itself contains more information than any of the latter sources. That is rather disappointing as more technical information does not appear to be readily available. However, after contacting GAMDIAS this was easily remedied as the staff was great and provided any information we needed.
