- Reviewed in Canada on September 4, 2024Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: RGB/65WVerified PurchaseI have an old custom made AMD computer with AM3 socket mb which fits perfectly. I really did not like the older heat sink on it so I decided to give this one a shot and wow I'm very glad I did. Temps drop from 47c idle to around 29c which is great improvement, and under heavy use on this 6core CPU the temps go up to about 51c only and that is something I never seen before on this old computer. And now the computer runs very cool and started to use it more often. Some customers complain about how difficult installing this cooler which is true if you don't install it the right way. If your mb still outside the case installing this cooler would be slightly easier but if it is already installed it is still easy to install if you follow the next steps. The secret to installing this cooler easily is as follows: Engage one end of the arm (or whatever it is called) this end has no handle on it, goes near the edge of your mb. Then to engage the other end PULL OUTWARD with some force of course and PUSH down until you hear the click and release. Try it couple of times and you will be happy with it. This cooler looks very nice and works very well and one more thing: IF you don't have an RGB header on your motherboard DON'T worry this cooler still light up with many colors nicely but without all those fancy color transitions. My mb does not have it and still the cooler looks like it has an RGB controller on it and I was amazed. As to the noise, it is not too noisy but if you are in a silent room yes you would hear it and for me it is very normal and quieter than many coolers I installed before. Buy it and you will be happy with it.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 18, 2020Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: Non-RGBVerified PurchaseWhen I purchased this I wasn’t expecting the best performance but I had a stock cooler Ryzen cooler that needed to go so I though I would give this a try. To my surprise it works amazing, seeing almost a 10c drop in temps at idle and a 5c drop under load. The fan seems pretty quiet, the heat pipes are a nice cut of copper. This cooler is big, way bigger then I was expecting. Thankfully it did fit but this cooler needs a full size case. Only came with 1 fan but you can easily add a second if need be. Overall I’m pretty happy. Would recommend over some of the more expensive ones. Probably not suitable for heavy overclocking but I tried some light overclocking with great results. A worth while investment. Big upgrade over stock coolers
- Reviewed in Canada on May 3, 2018Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: Non-RGBVerified Purchasegreat Cooler for the money. Competes with the Deep cool Gammaxx 400 and the hyper 212 evo. Tested against my old hyper 212+ and the temperatures were within 2 degrees. The fan installation is a little award with the metal clips compared tot the plastic ones on the 212+ and the build quality is not as nice as the edge of the metal seems to be bent together.
Just like the 212+, the heat sink itself is a little sharp but is fine for the money especially now that the 212 series has gotten expensive.
Mounting system. Cheaper plastic and easier to install compared to the 212 as it uses an adapter for intel and keeps the classic amd style mounting mechanism. I did not find that there was too much force required to install the cooler. For long term the 212 might be more robust but also requires tools if you loose or did not receive the included ones while the contact 12 are cheaper but much easier to use.
Best $30 cooler currently as the others have all gone up in price.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 11, 2020Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: Non-RGBVerified PurchaseRunning a Ryzen 3600 at 4.1ghz. The stock cooler was decent at around 75 degrees C under load but I found it a tad loud. I replaced it with this cooler and after testing (several 3D mark extreme runs, CPU-z stress test and gaming for around 1 hour) I could not get the CPU past 60 degrees C. This is with the low noise cable installed which limits the fan to approx 1150 RPMs and effectively silences the fan. I highly recommend this cooler if you have the case that fits it (it's a bit on the tall side). It's also a bit tricky to install as the retention arm is quite stiff (take a few mins to work the arm back and forth before installing) which would be my only real, albeit small, gripe with it.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 9, 2023Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: RGB/65WVerified PurchaseThe fan is significantly noisier than stock coolers. The ARGB function has failed after 3 months and is now stuck on specific unchangeable colours, and some are dead completely. When the computer wakes after sleep the LEDs sometimes fail to all start up. The colour has also always been slightly off and does not match other peripherals. Overall disappointing, I will be replacing this and getting something else.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 5, 2020Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: RGB/65WVerified PurchaseSo, when i recieved the box, instructions was clear, i had a little bit of a hard time to install since i got a am3+ support, the "bracket" where you lock it was really super stiff lol but after 2 times placing it since the first time i wanted to see if it was fitting before placing the thermal paste, the second time was more easy less stiff. Thermal paste that come with it i tried to use it but there wasnt enough in that little package :o i had to remove it after using it, and replace it with my own that i bought at a local store. overall im super happy with the product, looks so good with the rgb but a quick warning !!!! ITS HUGE. only had 2 RAM instead of 4 and it was fitting, if i had 4ram it wouldnt fit. so make some space when your setting it up. Performance - my old cooler was 52 degree, this one goes to 34-40 (MAXIMUM) ,20 dgree minimum. Outstanding price for what i got! Well built and nice product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Performance and Value
Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: Non-RGBVerified PurchaseI replaced the AMD Wraith with the 150 watt version fan on a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. It is so quiet that I can run it locked at 100%. There is truly a quietness about this fan. The CPU temp runs at about 35 degrees at idle and only hits about mid-70s running MSFS 2023 with scenery and details at max settings. The fan is ultra quiet at these settings. Install was easy and straight forward. I installed the fan into a Aorus X-470 built system. It helped to remove the graphics card and tere is no particularly extreme force needed to install using the side clips as long as you catch the fixed side first then roll the fan to the other side and and engage the thumb latch. It comes with several different adapter screws and plate for other install types. Also comes with heat sink compound but I chose to use MX-4. For the price and performance I don't know how you can beat it. Recommend highly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, runs cool
Size: AMD/Intel UniversalStyle: RGB/130WVerified PurchaseI am a big fan of heat pipe coolers. Water cooling may be all the rage, but unless you are doing insane overclocking, water cooling is overkill and eventually that water cooler WILL leak and cause you major problems. This cooler is quiet, temperatures are low with a Ryzen 5 4500. Installation was simple, apply the supplied thermal compound, hook the loop with no thumb pad over the catch, line up the other side and push down on the thumb pad until it latches into place. The ARGB looks nice as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big, heavy, I love it.
Size: AMD/IntelStyle: RGB TowerVerified PurchaseMake sure you understand just how big these puppies are. But it's so much quieter than my old one thanks to that size. The weight of this thing when it's clamped down to the motherboard is alarming. But that back plate holds it all together. Old style 4 pin header has the rainbow cycle going which I saw some people were wondering about. There are two different plugs, you just don't use the other. Build quality is great. They also include a second set of the metal brackets so you can install a second fan on the back if you want. AND there was thermal paste included. If you can fit this style of cooler in your machine, you can't beat this deal. My old one was constantly going full blast trying to keep my old Phenom from exploding. Now it's no louder than the rest of the fans in the case. And it looks great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un gran disipador (literal y figuradamente)
