Conclusions

Honestly, Corsair has surprised me with this unit. After examination of its simple internal design and small heatsinks I was not sure if unit will be able to perform well. But TX650 has exceeded my expectations!

During my testing, the Corsair TX650 650W power supply was very stable and did not have any failures or other performance issues. The voltage fluctuations were minimal and the voltages stayed well within ATX standards.
The Corsair TX650 650W has stability and good thermal characteristics, features single +12V rail, Active PFC, >80% efficiency, support for 8-Pin PCI-Express, and unbeatable 5 year warranty! The only small downside of this unit is its fan, which gets a bit noisy under load (>50%). But with other fans in my case it was OK. This might be a "no go" factor if you are building a low noise PC and know for sure that you will have 60-70% load.

Strengths:
  -   Single +12V rail with 52A
  -   Active PFC
  -   >80% Efficiency
  -   Good build quality
  -   All cables fully sleeved
  -   NVIDIA SLI-ready certified
  -   Compact case dimensions
  -   Good value for moneys
  -   5 year warranty

Weaknesses:
  -   Noise level under load

Given the solid performance, good build quality and features listed above I award the Corsair TX650 650W power supply the eXtreme Outer Vision Editor's Choice award!
