Layout and Cables

The Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W is a bit longer than regular ATX power supply but definitely not as long as other power supplies in its category. It measures 180mm x 150mm x 86mm, which is a good news for users with some small computer cases.

The open grill on the back allows the exhaust air to exit the power supply with minimal resistance and combined with 135mm fan ensures that power supply stays cool.

Please note: the socket for the AC power cord does not have standard three prong configuration. It is similar to one that Silverstone Olympia OP1200 1200W has, which I reviewed back in November of 2007. The prongs are larger and arranged differently. You will not be ably to use any old power cord you might have laying around. Power cord, which comes with Real Power Pro 1250W, is very thick due to the high capacity of this unit. In addition to the above, the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W does not have ON/OFF switch.

This unit comes with one 135mm intake fan made by Young Lin Tech, model DFS132512H, 12V/0.25A.

Here you can see the internal layout and inside components of the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W power supply. All components are well placed and have industrial grade. The power supply's internal design has a professional look. Two primary capacitors are made by Nippon Chemi-Con and are rated at 400v 390uF each. Please note, that if you open power supply for any reason, you will void the warranty.
