This isn't our first rodeo with Enermax and thankfully for us they keep great features around, so it's no surprise that the MaxTytan is a fully modular unit. The modular connections are all well-spaced and labeled very clearly. There is even a connection available for the CoolerGenie which is also clearly labeled.
The unit is very sleek and appealing. It has a subtle charm without being completely in the user's face. When it comes to aesthetics, it's not trying to be the centerpiece in an enthusiasts rig. The side of the unit is stamped in the shape of an arrow to add that additional appeal. The fan and grill cover utilize a classy chrome finish, which adds a fantastic contract to the rest of the unit.
The MaxTytan 1250w has cleaned up the switches on the back of the unit. We were very surprised to find only the single power switch on the back of the unit. The common trend we've seen is for most units to include a mechanical switch that enables and disables a more aggressive fan control, many times referred to as a whisper or eco mode. However, thanks to the CoolerGenie, that is no longer needed and removes another unneeded complexity of the unit.
Cable types included are 1x 20+4-Pin ATX cable (60cm), 1x 4+4pin EPS/ATX12V cable (60cm), 1x 8pin EPS/ATX12V cable (60cm), 1x 8-Pin PCI-E Connector, 8x 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connectors, 8x Molex connections, 16x SATA connections, 1x Floppy Adapter, and 1x AC power. Unfortunately, the Enermax has not dethroned the GAMDIAS, but the cables provided are absolutely stunning! All of the cables are high-quality and utilize individual sleeves. The cable sleeves are black with a gray pattern that is not overstated and will add a touch of elegance to any case.
The Enermax MaxTytan has plenty of connections for any scenario, the cables are stunning and prove that Enermax is ahead of the game. I know there is a worry sometimes that the individually sleeved cables create more mess when trying to tidy cables, but Enermax anticipated this and included the handy cable clips to help you keep everything organized. The entire unit it very well thought out end to end and it's easy to see why the company had deemed these units as the new flagship line.
