Enermax MaxTytan 1250W Power Supply Review

Enermax MaxTytan 1250W

Opening the box we first find the user manual which is shared between the 1250w and 1050w unit. Included in the box is the MaxTytan 1250w power supply which is shrouded in very thick foam padding. The unit itself is then also shrouded in a nylon Enermax branded carry bag. This thing is packed tight with very minimal risk of any damage to the unit.

Next to the power supply, there is a very large box donning the MaxTytan branding. Inside the box we first found a very large and heavy bag full of modular cables, this thing is hefty. Without checking the cables, this thing might be crowned the new champion of the most cables included. Our previous titan (pun-intended) was the Gamdias Cyclops, we'll have to see if the MaxTytan can make a claim for the throne. Aside from that we have two bags of cable clips, a bag of modular plugs, two bags of Velcro ties, a bag of zip ties, mounting hardware and last but not least the CoolerGenie.

The CoolerGenie is an interesting inclusion especially for a power supply. It definitely adds options for the consumer and adds a slight bit of value to the unit. However, I'm not quite convinced with the delivery. I would have preferred the controller built into the PSU directly. It would be a much cleaner approach rather than having the physical hardware that you need to mount in the case. On that note, the unit does include multiple mounting options such as Velcro and magnets. It's a thoughtful inclusion and I'm glad Enermax is taking these steps to take care of the consumer.
