Seasonic Prime 650W Titanium Power Supply Review

Seasonic Prime 650W Titanium

Taking a look at the back of the unit we see a beautiful sight, without a doubt this is a fully modular unit which makes me incredibly happy. As we can see everything is clearly labeled and due to the different number of pins, a user would be unable to successfully connect a cable in the wrong place, nice work Seasonic.

Even though the chrome accented fan grill is a separate piece, it's completely sturdy and creates what I consider to be a great contrast for the unit. The Prime series truly looks amazing and I don't think anyone would have a problem showcasing it in their system.

Cables types included are 1x 20+4-Pin ATX cable, 2x EPS/ATX12V cable, 4x 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connector, 5x Molex, 6x SATA connectors, 1x Floppy cable. All the cables except for the 20+4-Pin ATX cable are of the ribbon variety. In many cases ribbon cables can be nice for space issues and for hiding cables in a case. Seasonic was great and delivered all black cables, so hiding them has become even easier.

As a personal preference, I like all of my ribbon cables to only use one ribbon if possible. Based on earlier review samples some of the cables included used multiple ribbons per cable. I'm extremely happy to report that our sample only had 1 piece ribbon cables which made installation an absolute breeze. Thanks to the ribbon cables, I was able to drastically reduce cable clutter in my own rig. The cables were a bit stiff at first, but are very easy to bend and make work wherever you need them.
