It's the start of a new year and with that comes new products, innovations, and new companies. While our next PSU isn't provided by a company that is new, it certainly is our first on the test bench. I'm super excited to finally have a review for a Seasonic power supply. We've reviewed other units in the past that rely on Seasonic as the OEM, but we've never had an opportunity to put the real thing through its paces. Seasonic was up for the challenge and sent us a 650w sample from their latest flagship line the Prime series.
ASeasonic has been a power contender in the PSU market for years. Throughout the journey, they have remained in the top tier echelon and have established themselves as true innovators and pioneers throughout the market.
Just to give a quick history lesson on the company, Seasonic was the first manufacturer to market to attain 80 plus certification. They continued their innovation and were also the first to market for the 80 plus gold certification. As I mentioned above, this prestige has enabled them to become one of the largest OEM suppliers today. They offer an incredible product line which gives manufacturers a tried and proven track record to launch their own product line from. In the spirit of Seasonic's first to market trend, we will be looking at our very first Titanium PSU on the test bench today.
