The performance on this unit was great, it wasn't anything mind blowing, but it got the job done and it absolutely met our standards for quality and efficiency. It would have been great to see a slightly bigger step here for Enermax since they are known for innovations, but it's a great unit and we can't let that take away from its results.

Enermax knows how to bundle a feature set into an already great unit and the Platimax was no exception. The new patented D.F. control along with the twister bearing fan is something completely new and different from the rest of the market. Additionally, the inclusion of the individually sleeved cables is astounding and not something we see very often. This unit has features for days and shows Enermax's prowess to market.
Components/Build Quality: 9.7/10 (20% of the final score)
The build quality was exceptional on the unit aside from a few minor caveats. The chassis was completely sturdy and the internal components were all high quality with great craftsmanship. We do wish that the materials were improved for the fan grill and the coating used on the top plate. Our unit already exhibits some minor scratching, fortunately it's not super noticeable since the surface is highly reflective.

At the time of writing the Enermax Platimax D.F. 1200w unit is going for ~$249.99 at Amazon. This puts it right on par with the completion which has EVGA, Corsair, and Seasonic all producing similar 1200w platinum units for the exact same price. While I don't consider the Enermax an absolute steal, its price is aligned appropriately. Depending what you need out of a high-performance monster such as the Platimax, this might be the best choice for you. Especially if you need the smallest unit possible.
