In a market that has a large focus on flashy colors and lighting, the aesthetic appeal could be slightly improved. However, I personally did not mind the design. My biggest concern for this unit is actually in its price. The power supply market is very competitive and I would love for Enermax to have a more aggressive pricing on this unit.
While improvements have been made, Enermax chose to stick close to the original X't design. Most of the improvements of the X't II have been emphasized on the internals rather than the aesthetics. The new design choices are all executed with a specific purpose, which is something I can appreciate.
The most impressionable aspect of the Revolution X't II throughout my review has been the attention to detail exercised in the design of the unit. Everything has been designed for a specific use and purpose with a no-nonsense attitude. This can be seen in many aspects that range all the way from the component list for its improved reliability and lifespan, all the way down to the little features like the CordGuard which can prevent accidental shutdown and potential data loss.
The Revolution X't II is designed to meet the needs of both gamers and enthusiasts alike and every part of it is built for that purpose. However, value is typically a concern for any potential buyer and at around ~$100 street price the Enermax falls a bit short in regards to value. This doesn't stop the Revolution X't II from being a great choice for any build. The Revolution X't II proved to be impressive across all categories and is sure to win over many enthusiasts with its excellent component list and impressive feature set.
