The SuperNova 850 P2 in my opinion is a great value. At its current price point of ~$130, it becomes my go to option as a fully modular platinum 850w PSU. It has the necessary accessories and is overall just a great unit. EVGA has set the benchmark as what we should expect from a platinum PSU.
One thing I would have really liked to see on this unit is a software-monitoring feature. By no means does the exclusion of said feature take away from the EVGA unit. However, for some consumers it can be a defining factor between the SuperNova P2 and the competition.

The SuperNova is a very impressive unit that proved to be a fantastic performer. The unit excelled at efficiency and proved that it is a dependable rock solid performer. I would gladly use this as my workhorse PSU. It hits all the right points for performance and is just an overall exceptional unit.

While the SuperNova P2 may not be the flashiest PSU available, it certainly delivers a top-notch feature set. The unit is fully modular with a platinum efficiency rating. It provides semi fanless operation at lower loads. EVGA continues to provide a great accessory pack and even included a self-test adapter. One thing I would have liked to see on this unit is a software-monitoring component.

EVGA has been on a roll when it comes to putting out high quality units and this one is no exception. The SuperNova P2 is another Super Flower produced unit, which is not surprising considering it's great performance. The build quality throughout has been superb. The chassis showed no signs of flex, the unit uses all Japanese capacitors, and the cables were all great quality. I had no qualms with the components or build quality of the SuperNova P2.

As of this review the SuperNova P2 can be had for around $130. At this price point the EVGA unit becomes a very competitive option. The SuperNova P2 has delivered across all categories and is an exceptionally well rounded unit. I would find myself hard pressed to consider anything else in this range of power supplies.

Summary
The EVGA SuperNova P2 850 is one of if not the best power supply we have reviewed this year. It has been a phenomenal performer, it's built like a tank, and all of its features have been perfectly executed. The combination of these things makes the SuperNove P2 a frontrunner amongst the competition and a go to option in our book.
Take into account that EVGA backs this PSU with its 10-year warranty and you really can't go wrong. It's a knockout PSU that has really set a benchmark for our expectations. The SuperNova 850 P2 met and exceeded our expectations, you really cannot go wrong with this unit.
