Let's take a look at what we have packed away in this mirror like box. At first look we find ample support for the unit and accessories as everything is shrouded in plush foam. Beyond that we have a product overview pamphlet, a cloth sleeve for the power supply as well as a cloth bag for the cables and accessories. Also included are some complimentary cable ties and mounting hardware.
Inside the bag we have an entire slew of cables including the standard power cord. As I began sorting through the cables, I started to notice that one end of each cable is labeled âPSU Onlyâ on a bright yellow sticker. These can of course be removed, but it's a nice touch that helps remove any initial confusion a consumer might have. An interesting side note, I noticed that some earlier units appeared to actually have red cable ends and the PSU itself had red sockets to indicate where those cables should go. I really appreciated the original approach and I'm not sure why Antec discontinued this.
Interestingly, Antec includes a 20+8 pin mainboard connector. I haven't seen other units include this, but supposedly it's to yet again future proof the unit. I don't suspect a need for a 20+8 pin connector anytime soon, but at least the unit supports it.
